Trane Training Class 2015

This year, the Trane Training Class (TTC) covered a wide range of topics, from Acoustic Treatment, Stealth™ Chiller, Next Gen Chillers and High Voltage Direct Online Starter Application.
The first class on 27 November 2015 was fully registered during the first week of promotion. Due to the overwhelming demand for the first class, a second class was scheduled for 11 December 2015 and was fully registered within a short time.
A full house of more than 40 participants attended each class at the Trane Hong Kong office. During the full day training session, there were four speakers – Dr. Sam Poon of Acoustics and Air Testing Laboratory Company Limited, Mr. John Tam of Simoprime, Dr. Philip Yu of Trane Pacific, Mr. Tom Cheung and Mr. Terry Tang of Trane Hong Kong. We would like to express our deep gratitude to the guest speakers for sharing their expertise with us.
Participants expressed their interest in the latest HVAC advancement and actively joined the discussion.
As one of the industry leaders, Trane Hong Kong is proud to continue to provide the best professional development programme for engineers.

ASHRAE Research Promotion Walk

For fundraising to support ASHRAE research, Trane participated the ASHRAE research walk at Tai Tam Country Park which organized by ASHRAE Hong Kong Chapter on 21 November 2015. All donations from sponsors in this event will be contributed to ASHRAE Research.

The 13th Asia Pacific Conference on the Built Environment

The 13th Asia Pacific Conference on the Built Environment was successfully held on 19 and 20 November 2015 at Crowne Plaza Kowloon East Hotel, Hong Kong.
Dr. Philip Yu, Environmental and Applications Engineering Director of Trane Pacific, is the chairman of the organizing committee. Trane is pleased to have been invited to support and participate the event.
The conference, titled “Next Gen Technology to make Green Building Sustainable”, provided an excellent platform for researchers and practitioners to share ideas and details of best practice, new technologies and future prospects. More than 300 participants joined the event.

Staff Function 2015 – BBQ Fun Day

Every year, Trane organizes an activity for staff recreation. This year, the staff function was held on the night of 17 November 2015 at the Happy Valley Club House. The 50 staff members who joined the event played games and enjoyed a poolside BBQ. It was a memorable night.

MTR Hong Kong Race Walking 2015

The MTR Hong Kong Race Walking 2015 event, co-organised by MTR Corporation and the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association, was successfully held on 13 September 2015 on Chater Road in Central, as in previous years. About 1,500 race walkers took part. The meaningful event promotes healthy living and raises funds for the Hospital Authority’s Health InfoWorld to support its work on enhancing the public’s disease management skills.
Trane is pleased to support this meaningful event by making a donation and taking part in the Corporate Team Challenge. The Trane team members were Mr. Jeffrey Lam, Mr. Mari Chan, Mr. Thomas Woo and Mr. Ronald Yiu. The Trane team demonstrated our high team spirit in the challenge and promoted walking for a healthier Hong Kong with MTR.

Trane Hong Kong Seminar 2015 - Next Gen Design and Technologies

We are pleased to report that the Trane Hong Kong Seminar was successfully held on 19 May 2015 in Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel.
Entitled “Next Gen Design and Technologies”, the first session started with the application of green condenser water system on chilled water plant presented by Mr. Peter Lau, Application Manager from Ingersoll Rand. Dr. Philip Yu, Environmental and Application Engineering Director, Climate Solutions Asia Pacific Region, Ingersoll Rand, then shared the latest development of next generation refrigerants.
The last session was presented by Assistant General Manager of Trane Hong Kong, Mr. Albert Lo. Mr. Lo gave audience a brief idea about Trane Stealth™ Air-Cooled Chiller and Air-Fi™ wireless technology for building controls, with further elaboration of the product application and features.
Over 180 people from developers, consultants, government departments and professional bodies participated in the seminar, we would like to thank the audience for enthusiastic response and speakers for unstinting support.
Director & General Manager of TYS Limited, Mr. K K Leung and Managing Director - System and Services of Trane Hong Kong, Mr. Frankie Chan mentioned in welcoming and closing speech respectively that Trane as a market leader should play a proactive role in promoting HVAC technology development. We will continue to provide the latest and the best products and services, to rise to any challenge with our clients in the future.
